#KindFriday: "Gots" of solidarity that become opportunities for girls and women in situations of social risk.
According to current data, Black Friday has been associated with a significant increase in overconsumption and environmental footprint.
During these dates, the high consumption of raw materials, water and energy has led to the destruction of habitats, high emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gases. Furthermore, massive waste generation, especially due to single-use packaging and unsold or discarded products after brief use, has contributed significantly to the pollution of our planet's air, water and soil.
At Gotes, one of our main objectives is to raise awareness of what we consume and select 100% organic and sustainable ingredients . But this year, we have decided to carry out an action that goes beyond our daily life at the brand.
We have joined forces with Casal dels Infants , a social entity that fights every day against inequalities in women and children, and we have launched the initiative:
#KindFriday: "Gots" of solidarity that become opportunities for girls and women in situations of social risk.
From today until December 1, 20% of ALL our sales will be donated to Casal dels Infants to collaborate on the project "Enllaçades", which groups together the actions transversal for women of Casal that is based on support groups generated among them to face daily life and address their needs.
