Lavender Essential Oil

Ideal for sensitive and damaged skin: it cleanses, balances and soothes the skin and helps renew its appearance. In your hair it adds shine, and its scent is relaxing and balancing.

Mix 2-3 drops of lavender into a tablespoon of carrier oil (sweet almond, jojoba…) and massage gently until absorbed. Never apply it neat.

Add 1 drop of lavender to your usual amount of face cream or face oil and apply to clean skin. Avoid the eye area.

Add 5-6 drops of lavender to your ultrasonic diffuser or nebuliser. Its relaxing scent is perfect before bed. Blend it with bergamot, geranium or sweet orange. Air the room now and then and do not diffuse for hours on end.

Put 1-2 drops of lavender on your pillowcase or pyjama collar as part of a winding-down ritual.

Mix 4-5 drops of lavender with a tablespoon of carrier oil, shower gel or bath salts before adding to the water: essential oils do not dissolve in water alone.

Add 2-3 drops of lavender to your usual amount of shampoo or hair mask, massage into the scalp for a couple of minutes and rinse.

For a room or linen spray: 10-15 drops of lavender in 100 ml of water with a splash of alcohol. Shake before each use and mist onto curtains, sofa or bedding (test on a hidden area first).

For external use only: do not ingest. Patch-test on a small area before first use and keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or using it on children, ask a professional first. Keep tightly closed, away from light and heat.
