How to use Geranium Essential Oil
Who it's for
Ideal for mature skin: it tones the skin and helps renew its appearance. Its floral scent is comforting and helps you feel less tired.
On the face
Add 1 drop of geranium to your usual amount of face cream or face oil and apply to clean skin. Avoid the eye area.
Body massage
Mix 2-3 drops of geranium into a tablespoon of carrier oil (sweet almond, jojoba…) and massage gently until absorbed. Never apply it neat.
In a diffuser
Add 5-6 drops of geranium to your ultrasonic diffuser or nebuliser. Its comforting floral scent helps you unwind. Air the room now and then and do not diffuse for hours on end.
In the bath
Mix 4-5 drops of geranium with a tablespoon of carrier oil, shower gel or bath salts before adding to the water: essential oils do not dissolve in water alone.
Around the home
For a room or linen spray: 10-15 drops of geranium in 100 ml of water with a splash of alcohol. Shake before each use and mist onto curtains, sofa or bedding (test on a hidden area first).
Precautions
For external use only: do not ingest. Patch-test on a small area before first use and keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or using it on children, ask a professional first. Keep tightly closed, away from light and heat.
