Bergamot Essential Oil

Ideal for oily and blemish-prone skin: it cleanses, invigorates and purifies, and helps balance excess oil on skin and hair and improve the look of dark spots. Its scent is relaxing.

Add 5-6 drops of bergamot to your ultrasonic diffuser or nebuliser. Its bright citrus scent lifts any room. Air the room now and then and do not diffuse for hours on end.

Put 1-2 drops of bergamot on a tissue or a personal inhaler and breathe in the scent when you need it, for example while travelling or at the office.

Mix 2-3 drops of bergamot into a tablespoon of carrier oil (sweet almond, jojoba…) and massage gently until absorbed. Never apply it neat.

Mix 4-5 drops of bergamot with a tablespoon of carrier oil, shower gel or bath salts before adding to the water: essential oils do not dissolve in water alone.

For a room or linen spray: 10-15 drops of bergamot in 100 ml of water with a splash of alcohol. Shake before each use and mist onto curtains, sofa or bedding (test on a hidden area first).

For external use only: do not ingest. Patch-test on a small area before first use and keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or using it on children, ask a professional first. Keep tightly closed, away from light and heat. It is photosensitising: avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after applying it to the skin.
