How to use Tea Tree Essential Oil
Who it's for
Ideal for oily and blemish-prone skin: cleansing and purifying. In your hair it helps care for an oily scalp.
On targeted areas
Mix 1 drop of tea tree with a few drops of jojoba oil and apply with a cotton bud to the area only, in the evening.
In your hair
Add 2-3 drops of tea tree to your usual amount of shampoo or hair mask, massage into the scalp for a couple of minutes and rinse.
In a diffuser
Add 5-6 drops of tea tree to your ultrasonic diffuser or nebuliser. Its clean, fresh scent is ideal for freshening the air. Air the room now and then and do not diffuse for hours on end.
Foot soak
Add 3-4 drops to a warm foot soak with salt.
Around the home
For a room or linen spray: 10-15 drops of tea tree in 100 ml of water with a splash of alcohol. Shake before each use and mist onto curtains, sofa or bedding (test on a hidden area first).
Precautions
For external use only: do not ingest. Patch-test on a small area before first use and keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or using it on children, ask a professional first. Keep tightly closed, away from light and heat.
